I was just calculating the total cost of my medical bills from 24th Sep 2007 to-date

• Before hospitalization: $ 2,498.30
• During hospitalization: $ 33,471.81
• After hospitalization: $ 252.90

Total insurance claims

• Accidental medical: $ 3,000.00
• Hospitalization: $ 26,350.00
• Post-hospitalization: $ 252.90
• 6days hospital income: $ 2,850.00
• 2mths of indemnity: $ 3,375.00

• Total claims: $ 35,827.90

So, I'm left with $ 395.11 to settle, which I can use my Medisave ;)


The above hospital expenses settlement is based on Healthshield Gold Plan A, instead of Prestige. Reason being: my upgrade was done in 1st Oct 2007, while the accident happened on 24th Sept 2007. The 7 days difference costs me my hospital income and weekly indemnity!
